– Hello world. My name is Jahmyra, or youcan call me Myra for short-lived, and I’m a Creative Pro at the Apple Store in the Brickell CityCenter in Miami, Florida. Welcome to Creative Projects.( light upbeat music) – Today, I’ll be shooting andediting looping video magic employing this camera and the Clips app. These daylights, I’ve been noticingthese incredible cinemagraphs by French director andphotographer, Romain Laurent. He determines these surreal looping videos. His loops-the-loops all have this like whoa factor. He made a surfer fromthe coast to the desert. How Romain? Why, what, when, who? I’ll be connecting with him is how I might supplement some ofthat supernatural to my own loops. Let’s call him right now. – Hello Romain. Am I saying your identified right by the way? Can you say it for us? – It’s Romain Laurent. It’s French. – Romain Laurent. – Close enough.( Myra and Romain chuckling) – I’ve been shooting alittle bit of video on my own and I wanna kind of takeit to the next level. So, take a look. – All right. Oh, it looks great. Just cool motion, it’s playful. I fantasize from there, what you can do is just experiment with different locations. Now that we’ve seen that you’re inside, maybe it’s cool to just gooutside or reform your getup. You can do whatever you feel like. I would go for somethingkind of silly I feel. – I think this is that Romain sauce that I would like to put on my curves that’s gonna kind of takeus from this is something that that. I know you probably don’t wannagive away all your mysteries, but what are some other changes that I might be able to experiment with? – Yeah. You could usethe obstruct transition. You really secrete the lens. Could be your hand, itcould be the grind, it could be anything. Or there’s time-lapse and time-lapse on iPhones are really fun’ lawsuit you can walk around. They’re stabilized as well. I really enjoyed being out andthat’s really what constructions me whole and then anything on topof that is just a bonus. So if it doesn’t work, it’s okay. If it manipulates, it’s awesome. – Let’s do that. Are you down? Are you down to go outside and try some things? – I am so down.- I already have like abunch of places in mind that are gonna realise Miamilook way better than LA. So, I’m gonna go ahead out there and then I’m gonna give youa call back when we’re done. – Let’s go. – That’s what I’m talking about, precisely. Let’s go! -[ Myra] Real quick, todayyou’ll need an iPhone with the Clips app invested. We’ll be using it to editthe videos we captivate into Romain style loops-the-loops.( radiant upbeat music) We are about to shoot some loops. My first stop is thesereally cool lifeguard pillars.( luminous upbeat music) My plan is to try a fewdifferent modulations to figure out what loops-the-loops to build last-minute. I’m starting with my camera at the sand, but anything departs. As long as you can easilyreplicate your starting point at the end of the clip.I’m gonna do this a couple of times to get the movement down. Now for the enjoyable duty. Let’s test it out in theClips app to see if it makes. First, I’m going to tap the photo icon at the bottom left to pull up my recents. After picking a video, I’m going to import it by pulping and holdingthe large-hearted red button. Then pare the ends until they pair. For me, that’s at this patch of sand. Then hit repetition a few cases terms to exam it and see if it loops. Yes! It loops, it loops! This inspects so good. Next transition I wanna playwith is a time-lapse mode and pull back from the lifeguard tower.Steady moves. No need to move fast or sluggish as long as it’s the same tempo. And made to ensure that you filmlong enough for each clip. Every three gyrations on the record button equals just about two seconds of footage. Keep breathing, don’t forgetto breathe.( chuckles) Now, let’s see how it loops. Perfect. Let’s keep it moving, let’s keep going.( radiant upbeat music) -[ Romain] We’re in Venice right now. I’m looking to capture some obstructiontransitions, some lash goes. What I’m gonna do now isshoot some time-lapses and we’ll see what happens. Shuffle, shuffle, shuffle. This is where my goofy line-up comes out.( bright upbeat music) Oh yeah, that works. – This is gonna be so cool. So this is totally differentthan the lifeguard tower. I feel like it’s a entire different vibe. When I’m on my regular lens I’m not meet the top of the structure. So what’s really awesomeis this ultra wide lens. We run from boom to bam. Boom, bam! For this one, I’m just gonnawalk directly backwards. Steady Myra. I’m also trying to thinktoo about the speeding that I shot the lifeguard tower because with the time lapse, you wanna maintain the same speed and you don’t wanna change and have it be slow and then fast because we really want thisto be a smooth transition. And, chipped. I think that one is good. Yes, yes. – I’m utilize a simple selfie stick. It attains it really easy, it’s much more steady to transition into the next time lapse. Boom, alright let’s see what we got. Nice, smooth. I’m gonna go around thecorner and do another one and see if it all works together. -[ Myra] Now I wanna join the rainbow obliterate loop-the-loop in front of the lifeguard tower. For that one, I commencing from the floor, so I need to match thatsame camera change at the start and end point. Cool, back into Clipsto line everything up.You certainly want it tohave that circular motion like round and around. Oh, it’s perfect. Okay, let’s go. – I’m putting videotape in the centerframe of the previous shots so we can align this next shot. Now I’m gonna go back into the time lapse, centre it and go for it. This appears good. – Romain said to playwith scale and locale when computing something unexpected. Let’s see if this neon rock statue is collaborating with these cliffs. Ooh, that felt good. – Do it with entrusts. When you exclusively have yourself as a topic is really adding up likea assortment of little clips of you in different locations. – There’s so much substance here. There’s no way Romaingot anything like this. I don’t think I is likely to be hit. Why don’t we go home, let’s cut this all together and let’s see what Romain has to show us. – Hi Myra, how’s it going? – My day was fantastic. I kind of only fell in lovewith Miami all over again. – Nice. I’m so anxiousto see what you’ve done like the apprehension is real for sure.- I’m anxious .( Romain shrieks) Okay, watch pit, watch mine, watch pit. – Oh, that’s a really good one. It’s so simple. – It makes one clip, butjust snaps it upside down. – You should look at my first loop-the-loop. – Okay, okay, I’m excited. Okay, here “theres going”. How did you move acrossthe floor like that? – Time lapse! With occasion fault, if you only spin around, it will look like you’re just not moving. – It’s like when you firstsaw the moonwalk, almost. – Yeah, that.- Almost.( Myra and Romain laughing) – Okay, watch my next one.- All right. – Oh, that’s cool. Now, I wanna go back outand like add on to that and kind of do like a collaboration. My next one is definitelynot as cool as yours. – Oh, where’s this gonna exit? Oh, okay. Now we’ve made it to another level. To me, that’s like whattime movement looks a lot like. Like broop. Okay, watch my nextone, watch my next one. – I adoration this. I think it’s really smart. – In the monstrous cliff formation, I was like actually guiding, okay? I was concerned that it would be too shaky and I virtually gave uphalfway through the trip because I was like, thisis not gonna be any good. And when I watched it, I was so surprised athow smooth that came out. – Stabilization on the iPhone is really, really good for that. – Okay, I truly can’t waitto watch your next one. – Go for it.( Myra laughing) – I repute I certainly gotthe reaction I required. I’m really happy.( chortles) – Can I get a tissue satisfy.( giggling) – I am starting to have ideas. After every time, you’re like, “Oh man, I wish you would’ve called me’ begin we could have collaborated.” – Yeah, certainly. – So I say, let’s collaborate, Romain. Let’s tell the people goodbyein like the coolest behavior that we perhaps can, what do you think? That’s a great theme.( amiable upbeat music)( luminous upbeat music) – I hope you all had a ton offun and learned something new. Let’s go over what the hell is did. First, we tried a fewdifferent modulations to create the foundation for our curves, pruning the start and the end until they could loop on their own. Then, we hindered adding to our curves with excerpts featuring thesame camera push. Finally, we added a little magic by changing our subject proportion or point in an surprising route. Now that you’re done reach export to send your video to afriend or simply save it to share later.
